*Kells Family Resource Centre to launch new multicultural community singing group as part of the One Town One Voice initiative
*Singing group to reflect & celebrate cultural diversity in Kells today
One Town One Voice is pleased to partner with Kells Family Resource Centre in establishing a multicultural singing group for Kells, Co. Meath!
The One Town One Voice initiative aims to establish secular community singing groups made up of Irish people and those who have moved to towns from other countries in recent years. The aim is to use communal singing to bring people together regardless of nationality, enable and enhance greater community integration and build closer communities.
Our vision is that ‘The One Voice Singers’ of Kells will be a true community group, lead by members of the community, in partnership with the community. Our goal is to enable and encourage connections between people who might otherwise not meet or would not feel part of the same community, and then to help those connections flourish…all the while having great musical fun!
The group will meet on Monday nights starting July 3rd, from 7:30-8:30pm at Kells Family Resource Centre, Lord Edward St, Townparks, Kells, Co. Meath.
All are welcome to come along to sing, laugh, make friends and share a cuppa! No previous singing experience required. Local singer Deirdre Gilsenan will lead the group musically, guaranteeing a wonderful hour of community singing!
