A long time singer and resident of the Fermoy area, Therese joined the Fermoy International Choir this past year and has found it to be “a great way to gather, have fun, learn new things and leave the rehearsal buzzing.”
“I have always sung and have been a member of a number of local choirs over the years. I love to sing most especially in a choir setting. I love the feeling of us all connecting via music and the joy of learning and performing different songs. I joined the international choir in February this year and have loved every minute of it. Even though I have lived [locally] for the past 16 years, it has been wonderful to meet new friends and most especially people from other countries/cultures.
Having lived in the UK/USA and around Europe for 6 years, I know what it’s like to be new to an area and what a difference people making an effort and welcoming you [can make]. I love to hear the stories of how people arrived in our little corner of the world and try to play my part in making them feel welcome and feel at home.”
