Meet Doll, member of Fermoy International Choir
Doll is a very active member of Fermoy International Choir, performing all over with the group! Her connection to her town and community has deepened greatly, thanks to joining the choir. Here’s what she has to say about it!

I love the choir people, everybody is so nice to me. I feel like home with them. Choir is the best thing happened to me ever since I moved to Ireland from India.

Singing with the choir is really fun. I am not good at singing, never been. But the choir is not so typical about your singing. Itโs a group of friends who come together and sing. Or in my case I can just move my lips, haha!

We do meet up outside rehearsals. We go for pubs and coffee. In summer we had a garden party at one of the choir membersโ houses. We also have people running/jogging together. Itโs fun to meet outside the choir, you get to know the people even more.

For a girl who has been a social butterfly all her life, when I moved here I had nobody to talk to. No social contact at all. I am glad choir found me. I feel connected to this town and country ever since I joined the choir. Before that I have always felt homesick and had a feeling that this town would never accept me for who I am. But thanks to the choir, I love Fermoy with all my heart.
