Meet Jina, member of Fermoy International Choir

Jina moved to Ireland from Korea, and through joining the Fermoy International Choir says she made friends and feels “more in the circle, not outside.“
Lately Jina has used her artistic talents to brighten up the choir!ย
Check out the doll she knitted as a gift for fellow singer Yasmin, not to mention all the lovely cloth name badges she made.
Members wear the name badges to each rehearsal, so people can learn each other’s names while looking stylish.ย Jina wrote each person’s name in Korean as well on the back of the badge, which is wonderful to see!

I missed singing so much. It is joyful and freeing. I love it because it is not stuffy.

I have lived in a few different countries but I missed Ireland – the nature and the people. Irish people are definitely the most friendly in Europe but it is not so easy to be a real friend of theirs as many of them are happy in their own groups or families. So I sort of gave up on friendship here. But now I feel I am more in the circle, not outside.
