* Cheile Community Choir joins the One Town One Voice initiative in starting multicultural singing groups
* Singing groups to reflect cultural diversity in Bray today
*Adults of all ages and abilities welcome in daytime or evening groups
This winter, the Cheile Community Choir are joining forces with the One Town One Voice initiative to establish multicultural singing groups in Bray, Co Wicklow.
The One Town One Voice initiative aims to establish secular community singing groups made up of Irish people and those who have moved to towns from other countries in recent years. The aim is to use communal singing to bring people together regardless of nationality, enable and enhance greater community integration and build closer communities.
Established in 2016 by Bray Family Resource & Development Project, the Cheile Community Choir invites adults of all ages and abilities to come out and sing together. Now with the support of One Town One Voice, the group invites people of all nationalities in Bray to come join the group and sing–no auditions required!
The singing group currently meets on Wednesdays at 12:15-2pm in the Little Bray Family Resource Centre, and are keen to start a new One Voice Singers group as well, which will meet in the evenings.
We invite anyone who would like to come out and sing (daytime or evening) to contact Niamh Wogan at Bray Family Resource and Development Project, Ard Chulann, Fassaroe, Bray. Ph. 01-2867644 email: bfrdpoffice@gmail.com
